Jessica is the Managing Director of Apple Barrel Country Store and Cafe.  Jessica grew up at the Apple Barrel as her family owns and operates it.  She has been in her current role since 2009.  Previously she has worked at Cruise.co and Halifax Bank while she lived in England.

Jessica has 1 child, Benjamin, who was born in 2018. She enjoys traveling and learning- whether visiting a museum or reading a book. She also is a self- proclaimed foodie and enjoys exotic and unique cuisine and craft beverages.

Jessica was working at the Apple Barrel the day of the crash.  She was one of the first people outside and the first person to call 911.  She stayed outside the rest of the day trying to help however she could

Schoharie Valley Farms, LLC, SALT (Schoharie Area Long Term Recovery)

I am the bookkeeper and human resource/office manager at Schoharie Valley Farms and, along with Richard’s children, help run the day to day workings of the farm and retail business.  I am also on the board of directors for SALT, a non-profit that was formed in the wake of Hurricane Irene and the devastating flood in Schoharie in 2011.  Prior to that, I was an emergency room nurse and volunteer paramedic for many years.

Between us, my husband and I have 7 children and 23 grandchildren who keep us wonderfully busy and our lives full!

How are you related to crash or the victims?
Although I did not know any of the victims directly, I know many of the first responders who helped that day and the Loden’s are dear friends and business neighbors so it is an honor to be able to serve in this way and, hopefully, contribute to everyone’s healing through this permanent memorial.

How are you related to crash or the victims?
I do not personally know the accident victims. I was devastated when I got the news and I am helping in anyway I could.
